My favourite artists: Tim Sale

Tim Sale might not be the best artist out there, but everytime I see a book with his art I go for it. His Batman is my favourite , and trust me, I’ve seen a lot of artists drawing Batman, but only a few do a really good one.
Reading one of his books is like travelling in time…, a time where I enjoyed every little story of Batman as if it was the biggest thing ever, I time that will never come back again, but I can feel a lot closer everytime I read a story with Tim Sale’s art.

My favourite artists: Bill Sienkiewicz

When I was a child, my dad bought me a comic of Moon knight. The story in it scared the hell out of me… Werewolves, Satanic priests, blood, sacrifices…, but the drawings captivated me. I don’t know why, they were not the drawings I was used to, they were something completely different, I just fell in love with them almost immediately.
Well, I am very busy these days, and I haven’t been able to finish a couple of posts… I will do soon, but in the meantime I decided that it would be a great idea for the people that read me if you could discover some of the artist that inspired me one day…

The girl that came from the sea

Llevo con este dibujo un par de semanas, pero no llevo trabajando con él dos semanas… la paternidad es lo que tiene. Bueno, antes de que una alumna mía se enfade por no actualizar, voy a dejar aquí el trabajo realizado hasta ahora para que vea que no miento… je je je

Seguiré trabajando sobre él, ya que me gusta mucho el dibujo, pero me llevará tiempo, ya que aunque la gente diga que dibujo bien, el colorear en el ordenador es bastante nuevo para mí y aun me queda mucho que aprender… y para aprender hay que practicar.

Solo un par de bocetos…, por ahora

Siempre quiero dibujar y pocas veces puedo. Ahora por fin, he entrado en una nueva dinámica y espero conseguir algo de todo lo que me ronda en la cabeza. Tengo grandes proyectos en mente y espero poder decir más cosas pronto. Mientras tanto, aquí dejo un par de bocetos que acabo de hacer mientras pienso en que dibujar:

Siempre vuelvo… y siempre por Halloween

Despues de mucho tiempo sin actualizar por muchísimos motivos, trabajo, falta de tiempo y pereza, vuelvo con ganas y aqui os dejo una foto de un dibujo que realizé ayer para mis alumnos y los alumnos del resto de mis compañeras para un juego de Halloween. El juego trata de colorear el dibujo que te corresponde antes que el otro equipo y, aunque parece sencillo los niños se lo pasaron en grande…

Un pequeño homenaje: Bill Watterson

Bill Waterson es el autor de uno de mis comics favoritos :”Calvin y Hobbes”. Posiblemente uno de los mejores comics que uno puede leer. Su lectura siempre me lleva a los momentos más felices de mi vida. La inocencia de Calvin alegran un mal día.

Mis tiras favoritas son las ambientadas en la nieve… esos hombres de nieve son geniales, ojalá tuviera yo toda esa nieve para hacer unos cuantos igual. Este dibujo, lo veo como un homenaje obligado por mi parte pues me han inspirado muchísimo, en Navidad siempre me ayudan a dar una clase de inglés (no pregunteis) y le alegran una tarde a unos cuantos de mis alumnos. Espero que os guste y también a Bill… si es que se pasa alguna vez por aquí…je je je

Boceto

Cuando vi el orfanato hubo una imagen que me impactó mucho, la del niño con la bolsa en la cabeza. Me pareció una imagen que podía inspirar mucho terror. En esos días tenía una historia en la cabeza y esa imagen me ayudo para expandir la historia un poco más. De ahí salió esto:

Solo es un boceto, me gustaría hacerlo más oscuro, pero creo que es un buen comienzo.
